Raffle Bus 35 Update - Mar. 28, 2026

2026 Jamboree Splitty

Made a ton of progress on the sanding and body work on our bus. Wayne, Brad, Mindy, Sue Rice, Reuben, Greg B., David C., Greg P., Bill, and of course Greta and Russell.
Russell had the bus outside before anyone arrived so when each person got there, they took on some sanding task and just stayed on it. Some for hours non stop. Mindy, Greg, Greg, Reuben, Brad, and Russell worked and worked and worked. Got a Huge amount done. The bus is really taking shape because we have so many willing hands pitching in. Wayne was all over the bus, as in everywhere, making sure all the little flaws in the body are being straightened and smoothed out. His work shows everywhere. Bill Ross was able to cut out and weld in patches to all the rest of the places that needed to get done. He even worked after lunch into the afternoon to get things finished. David and Sue worked finishing up the detailed cleaning of the side window frames. They took a dremmell, some fine sanding wheels and some really small screwdriver/scrapers and spent all morning doing the meticulous chore of getting the frames ready for primer. Talk about attention to detail and patience!
I had to leave for a few hours and it made something painfully clear. They need me to sometimes unlock the door and that’s about it! When I left everyone was working like crazy and when I got back, they had gotten their tasks and more all done and were cleaning up! What a group! Thanks everyone for all your effort.
Greta and Russell and their son, Ryan, made sure everyone was fed and happy. It really is such a nice way to end the work party, eating, relaxing and having a good time talking and visiting with a group of really good people.
Looking forward to next week.
